Huge Wave Today in Puerto Escondido...Will He Make It!! Ahhhhhhhouch

March_24th_puerto_escondido

The waves today were huge in Puerto Escondido! Is this guy stoked or worried about that gigantic lip about to come down? I'm nervous just looking at it. Just for the record, there are manageable wave there as well...since it's a cove there are some less extreme spots. No matter what, the place to stay is the Cabo Blanco...it's a cool Puerto Escondido hotel right at Playa Zicatela.

Local flavors of Puerto Escondido courtesy of the Cabo Blanco Hotel. This Puerto Escondido hotel is a fixture in this undiscovered beach community. While the tourists crowd the other beach towns of Mexico this place remains the secret destination. With great beaches, surfing and fishing at awesome prices this wont be a secret for long.

Mexico's Pipeline

The best big wave surfing in Mexico is all the way down south in Oaxaca. Find yourself a Puerto Escondido Hotel and paddle out into the huge surf of Playa Zicatela. This is not a beginner wave so don't go in unless you know what you're doing. Waves like this can get scary real fast.

There are some protected beaches that are better suited for the beginner or intermediate. Practice up and one day, when your ready you will know it. Just remember to post your pictures here when you get back!
