If you get the chance make your way south... waayyy south to Puerto Escondido where the surf in legendary. An awesome escape from the crowds. A Puerto Escondido hotel is not expensive and local cuisine rules!

Mexico's Pipeline
The best big wave surfing in Mexico is all the way down south in Oaxaca. Find yourself a Puerto Escondido Hotel and paddle out into the huge surf of Playa Zicatela. This is not a beginner wave so don't go in unless you know what you're doing. Waves like this can get scary real fast.
There are some protected beaches that are better suited for the beginner or intermediate. Practice up and one day, when your ready you will know it. Just remember to post your pictures here when you get back!
